Cneasaí Somatic Therapy

These sessions are offered in a space of close companionship where we journey together in contact with your body to support transformation on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Read more about the therapy and what to expect here.

Somatic Massage

This is a session to bring your body into a sense of safety through light craniosacral touch and discover any tension patterns that the body is holding. I will then apply gentle massage to support the body to release tension patterns and ease the nervous system.

Remote Somatic Sessions

If you are wishing to become more in contact with your body and listen to something you feel it is trying to say, I offer digital sessions where I guide you to connect with your body and support you to develop a dialogue between yourself and your body's needs.

Abdominal Massage

This massage can support issues with menstruation, digestion, sexual reproduction and the lower back. It involves gentle massaging around the abdomen, digestive and lymph system. A nourishing massage for integration for postpartum and grief.

What to Expect

Cneasaí, pronouced kner-see, is an Irish word and comes from the word "cneas" meaning skin. Directly translated it means skin-there or skin being and in Irish evokes the sense of bringing forth scarring in a healing fashion.

Cneasaí sessions are a journey through the landscape of the body, ferried by deep presence and touch and a regulated nervous system. The sessions are expansive, and can touch upon your lived experience, embryonic and ecological embodiment and ancestral patterns.

Sessions are non-hierarchical, and are led by your body and the pace it is ready to explore areas that may feel difficult or invisible. Sessions are held fully clothed and in english.

Acknowledgments

I acknowledge that the framework of Craniosacral Therapy
has evolved from Osteopathy which in turn was taken by Andrew Taylor Still
from the Cherokee Shawnee practice of doctoring or bonesetting.
There is grief in this acknowledgment
and an understanding the Cherokee Shawnee wisdom
was not legitimised or acknowledged at the time.

I acknowledge the land that I practice on is the indigenous land of the Norsemen
and the North Germanic Tribes of which part of my own ancestral lineage flows.
